Description
How Your Commission Works
1. Choose your package
Select the option that best fits your needs:
Print Only, Print + Block, or Print + Block + Commercial Use.
All commissions are currently offered in B6 size.
2. Send your reference
Clicking the “Submit Commission Request/Inquiry” button on the Commissions page will redirect you to a form where can upload a photo, artwork, or other reference along with any details or requests you have. I’ll review the reference to make sure it can be translated well into a hand-carved print.
3. Design & approval
I’ll create a simplified design based on your reference while keeping the character and important details of the original. If adjustments are needed for the printmaking process, I’ll discuss them with you first. Nothing will be carved until you approve the final design.
4. Carving & hand-pulling
Once approved, I’ll hand-carve the design into a block and carefully hand-pull your print using traditional printmaking techniques. Because each piece is handmade, slight variations and imperfections are part of its character.
5. Your artwork is ready!
Your finished print (and block, if included in your chosen package) will be carefully packed and prepared for delivery.
- A few things to keep in mind:
- Please provide the clearest, highest-quality reference possible.
- Not every image will translate well into a carved print. I’ll let you know if I recommend simplifying or changing any elements.
- Your selected package and final design will determine the scope of the commission.
- Commercial Use is available only with the corresponding package and is subject to the agreed usage terms.
