How Stamp Customization Works

1. Choose the material for mounting the stamp
Select the mounting option that best fits your needs:
Cork sheet (5mm thickness)
Wood/Wood-based (MDF) (various thickness; +/-18mm thickness)

2. Send your reference
Clicking the “Submit Custom Stamp Request/Inquiry” button on the Custom Hand-Carved Stamp page will redirect you to a form where you can upload a photo, artwork, or other reference along with any details (i.e. size) or requests you have. I’ll review the reference to make sure it can be translated well into a hand-carved stamp.

3. Pricing
After carefully reviewing the design to determine whether it is suitable for hand-carving, I will provide the final price. The price will depend on the complexity of the design and the size of the stamp.
If the requested size is not suitable for the design—for example, if a larger size is needed to accommodate intricate details—I will let you know before proceeding.

4. Carving and mounting
Once approved, I’ll hand-carve the design into a block and mount on your chosen material. Because each piece is handmade, slight variations and imperfections are part of its character.

5. Your artwork is ready!
Your finished stamp will be carefully packed and prepared for delivery.

• A few things to keep in mind:
• Please provide the clearest, highest-quality reference possible.
• Not every image will translate well into a carved print. I’ll let you know if I recommend simplifying or changing any elements.
• Your selected mounting material, stamp size and final design will determine the scope of the commission.
